What The People Say: What can I say, Miss Softee takes the traditional classic soft serve cone and brings it up a notch…and then another. She dishes out sweet treats full of nostalgia topped with kooky, creative and utterly delicious toppings. You might question the potato chip topping, but I’m telling you, do yourself a favor and try it. I promise you won’t regret it. Oh, and she has style to boot.

What They Say: To me, this award is all about the food vendors and the combination of delicious food and outstanding service that they provide. Just being nominated is the greatest ‘thank you’ I could ever imagine for all the long days and hard work I personally put in towards making people in NYC smile, one cone at a time! If the people think I’m deserving, it would be my honor to carry the title of Vendy Award Winner for deserts.

What They Say? La Newyorkina is an extension of who I am and is very personal. After I wrote “MY Sweet Mexico”, I felt not just a desire, but rather a need to continue sharing the wonderful sweets of Mexico. Everything I make is made with fresh ingredients, supporting local farmers here but also small producers in Mexico. The paletas are not only delicious but they are actually good for you as well. More importantly though, I get to share amazing flavors, textures and more importantly, culture, that many haven’t been able to experience and that I love so much.
