UPDATE: We just received the sad news that Mario Batali has an unexpected conflict and can’t be part of this year’s Vendys - but hopes to join us next year. We will keep you posted as we get more information.

Mario Batali is the newest addition to our impressive team of celebrity judges. How much better can this year’s Vendys get?

Thanks to the generosity of Midtown Lunch, if you have already bought a ticket, or buy your ticket before midnight Friday, you will be entered into a lottery for a spot at Street-Meat-Palooza 2 , an invitation-only battle to name the best chicken and lamb over rice in Midtown. We will notify you by the end of the weekend if you are chosen!

The Vendy Awards is a fundraiser to support the Street Vendor Project of the Urban Justice Center, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that provides a voice for the thousands of people who sell food and merchandise on the streets of our city.

The cost of each ticket is tax-deductible.
